The 22nd All Japan Annual Quran Competition will be held this year InshaAllah.
Although Corona Virus infection rate has decreased, the situation is not completely stable. Hence “Preliminary Qualification Round” will be held online and the top 10 contestants from each level will be selected to participate in the Final Round offline at Tokyo Camii.
Please note that due to infection control measures, no audience, except parents of selected contestants, will be allowed in the Final Round at Tokyo Camii.

Categories and levels
The Qur’an Competition will be divided into the following two categories and levels.
Children’s Category (up to 15 years old/junior high school students)
*Level 0: Those who have memorized more than one Surah of the Quran (not a competition, but oral recitation only)
*Level 1: Those who have memorized more than half a Juz of the Qur’an
*Level 2: Those who have memorized more than 1 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 3: Those who have memorized more than 2 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 4: Those who have memorized more than 5 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 5: Those who have memorized more than 10 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 6: Those who have memorized more than 15 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 7: Those who have memorized the entire Qur’an
Adults’ Category (16 years old and above)
*Level 1: Those who have memorized more than half a Juz of the Qur’an
*Level 2: Those who have memorized more than 1 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 3: Those who have memorized more than 2 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 4: Those who have memorized more than 5 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 5: Those who have memorized more than 10 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 6: Those who have memorized more than 15 juz of the Qur’an
*Level 7: Those who have memorized the entire Qur’an
*Level 8: Those who have learned tajweed and can read Quran correctly

Please note the following
※ If you do not apply by the deadline, you will not be able to participate. Please note that no applications will be accepted after December 23 (Thu) 11:00 a.m.
※ Overseas residents are not eligible to apply.
※ In children category, 15 years old and junior high school students who live in Japan are eligible to participate.
※ In adults category, only Japanese nationals or foreigners with a valid residence permit are allowed to participate.
※ The contestant may only compete in one level, and may not compete in two levels.
※ If you have already won a prize in this competition before, you may not compete again in the same level.
※ Level 0 is not a competition but an oral recitation.
※ Level 7 will be held only if there are two or more contestants.
※ 1st Place winner of Level 7 Children’s Category will receive an Umrah ticket, and the 2nd place winner will receive an Airline ticket to Turkey.
※ The winner of Level 7 Adults’ Category will receive an Umrah ticket.
※ The prizes (Airlines Tickets) offered are for one person only (the winner him/herself), not for parents or family members. Please note that we will not be involved in any visa or other formalities.
※ Level 8 (adults only) will not be a memorization test, but a recitation from the Qur’an of the verses specified by the judges.
