Where Your Qurbani Will Make a Difference

This year, Japan Islamic Trust is organizing Qurbani (Udhiyah) distribution in multiple countries including Afghanistan, Palestine, Syria, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Japan, aiming to support earthquake victims, refugees, and families in need. All sacrifices are performed according to Islamic guidelines, and meat is distributed to those who need it most.

Whether you choose to give locally or abroad, your contribution brings joy and sustenance to countless lives this Eid al-Adha.

Why Give Qurbani?

Millions around the world face food insecurity. Your sacrifice provides essential meat to families who rarely have access to it, making Eid special and nourishing for them.

Who Should Give Qurbani?

Qurbani is obligatory (wājib) for Muslims who are sane, adult, and possess wealth beyond their basic needs (according to the Hanafi school). If you’re eligible to pay zakat, then Qurbani is required for you.

Who Receives Qurbani?

Your Qurbani reaches those who need it most:

  • Families living below the poverty line
  • Refugees and displaced persons
  • Female-headed households
  • The elderly and disabled
  • Families with young children
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women
  • People in remote or disaster-affected areas

Every recipient is selected after a careful, fair assessment, ensuring your sacrifice brings real relief and dignity.

When Is Qurbani Performed?

Qurbani will be carried out after Eid prayer between 10th–13th Dhul Hijjah (expected: June 6–9, 2025). All sacrifices are performed according to Islamic guidelines.

How Much Qurbani Should I Give?

Each eligible Muslim must offer at least one share. You may offer additional Qurbanis on behalf of your family members or deceased loved ones. The Prophet ﷺ himself offered multiple sacrifices for himself and the Ummah.

Pricing

Qurbani prices vary by country depending on:

  • Local animal cost
  • Quality and age of the animal
  • Transportation to remote areas

Japan Islamic Trust ensures healthy, properly selected animals, sacrificed with care and compassion.
