Jun 13, 2011Assalamalaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Jazakumullahu khairan for your help and donations. We’d like to present you with the report on Takidashi (Cooking and Providing Fresh Food ) 53rd-61st trip which left the Otsuka Masjid May 28th – June 4th.
No.53Data 28th May 2011 Location Yotsukura club At 6 o’clock in the morning on 28th of May in 2011, Mr Aquir Siddiqui ( who is the president of Islamic Trust Japan ) and a Japanese Muslim woman left Otsuka masjid to distribute meals among evacuees who were staying at Yotsukura club in Fukushima prefecture. They arrived safely in Fukushima around 11 o’clock, then joined two Muslim men to distribute meals in Fukushima. Meals were distributed for about a hundred people.
No.54Date 29th May 2011 Location Yotsukura high school The next day, we distributed Yakisoba and vegetable juice for evacuees who were staying at Yotsukura high school’s gym. There were still 85 evacuees.
No.55Date 30th May 2011 Location evacuation centers On 30th of May in 2011, we Japan Islamic Trust distributed meals at three evacuation centers which are located in Fukushima prefecture for evacuees. There were about 115 evacuees in total of three evacuation centers enjoyed Indian curry and vegetable juice.
No.56Date 31st May 2011 Location evacuation centers The next day, we distributed meals at the same three evacuation centers which we went on the previous day. The menu of that day was Yakisoba and vegetable juice. There were 130 evacuees who enjoyed meals. The members of Islamic Trust Japan seems to have a good relationship with evacuees.
No.57Date 1st June 2011 Location Chuodai civic center There were 21 evacuees who were staying at Chuodai civic center. We distributed Yakisoba and vegetable juice.
No.59Date 3rd June 2011 Location Taira industrial high school On 3rd of June in 2011, some volunteers from Japan Islamic Trust distributed Yakisoba and milk at Taira industrial high school. There were about 32 evacuees who were staying at this evacuation center.
No.60 & 61Date 4th – 5th June 2011 Location Yotsukura club Two volunteers from Tokyo joined Japan Islamic Trust distribution team and seven people in total distributed Indian curry, rice, salad and milk on those days. We prepared meals to distibute for about 125 people however there were many people more than we expected to so meal distribution finished only in 30 minutes. In Japan Islamic Trust, we will continue to recruit the following materials. For posting, please write down “earthquake relief” on the box clearly.
