May 28, 2011Assalamalaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Jazakumullahu khairan for your help and donations. We would like to present you with the report on our relief trip No. 47 to No. 49, which left Tokyo between May 18th and 21st. We greatly appreciate you donations. Below is the report of 47th Relief Supplies of May 22. On 22/05/2011, we left Otsuka (Mosque) Masjid around 9:30 (Sunday) on a car containing 47th Relief Supplies and headed to Iwaki city of Fukushima prefecture. Unfortunately, It was raining in Iwaki city that day, however we left Tokyo in a group of 4 people from Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia and Japan each. With the help of three people already there in Iwaki, we could prepare Takidashi (Cooking and Providing Fresh Food). On 22/05 and 24/05, we went to Taira School, where evacuee’s number was 38, quite lower than the initial number of 100 people, and there were many people who don’t know their future abode yet. In our 3rd and 4th visit to Taira School, evacuees were found eager to the food of the Japan Islamic Trust and they shared laughter with the working members. The first day we included Soba Yaki which was liked by all, even many asked for the more. It was our 8th Takidashi visit to Yotsukura School, residing around 60 evacuees. Here again Yaki Soba was a tremendous success. In both schools, still it was not possible to shift the evacuees in some temporary residence and close the evacuation center. The Japan Islamic Trust plans to continue its Takidashi activities in Iwaki city in future. Though we are in short of the volunteers who can participate on working days, you are welcome to join us in your free time.
