Preliminary report about the field hospital campaign for Syria

Introduction:

The Syrian people conditions are getting more catastrophic day after day, especially in the medical and health care field. Therefore, a huge effort is needed to support the health care services with staff, medications and equipment inside Syria. Japan Islamic Trust in cooperation with the Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) has carried out a donation campaign for supporting the field hospitals projects in Syria.

Results:

  • On April, 2013, we (Japan Islamic Trust) started a donation campaign for supporting field hospitals in Syria. The campaign has lasted for 3 months (until July, 2013) and the total donations which were collected by this campaign are 1,105,273 Yen. The donations will be transferred to the Syrian Expatriate Medical Association next Monday (ISA).
  • The Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) will confirm the reception of these donations. They will manage buying the equipment and delivering them to the field hospital inside Syria.
  • SEMA will provide us with a feedback report that shows a list of the medical equipments supported by our donations with photos.
