Japan Islamic Trust (JIT) at Otsuka Masjid arranges various activities including seminars, lecture series and Quran/Hadith and Arabic classes from time to time. Please stay tuned to learn more about these activities.
The Tokyo Mosque was demolished in February 1986. And hopes of its reconstruction had nearly faded.
JIT worked on an alternate Central Mosque Project 1995-1998. It collected funds. However, when work started on the construction of Tokyo Mosque in 1998, JIT donated total funds collected about 35 Million yen (Approximately US$350,000) to the Tokyo Mosque account.

While collecting funds for Central Mosque Project JIT rented space for a Mosque and International Islamia School near Ikebukuro station in 1995-1999.
- SPACE FOR MOSQUE IN SHIBUYA AREA 1995-to date
JIT rented space for Shibuya Masjid in a building near JR Shibuya station in 1995. JIT also encouraged communities in Shin Okubo, Machida, Ashikaga etc. to establish prayer places.
- HAFIZ FOR TARAWEEEH PRAYER 1998-to date
JIT invites one Hafiz Qur-‘an every year in Ramadan to lead Taraveeh Prayers and to teach Quran.
